In conventional double-sided fabric texture structures, the fabric layer is usually located in the middle of the mattress, with the upper and lower rubber layers being of similar thickness. However, with prolonged use, the frequent trampling, lying down, and gripping movements of cattle cause the upper rubber layer to gradually thin and lose elasticity. After several years, the fabric layer may even become exposed—once exposed, the lifespan of the rubber cow mattress ends.

Dongxing Rubber place the EP100 reinforced fabric layer slightly lower in the mattress, allowing the upper rubber layer to remain thicker and more usable. At the same cost, the thicker upper rubber layer can withstand more prolonged trampling and wear, effectively delaying the time when the fabric layer becomes exposed, thus extending the overall lifespan of the product.

Application Scenarios
Double-sided textured rubber cow mattresses are specifically designed for cow resting areas. A sufficiently thick and resilient rubber cow mattress transforms a hard surface into a cushioned support surface, reducing pressure on the cows' joints and making them more willing to lie down and stay in place for longer.
A foam layer, as the bottom cushioning material, is laid beneath the rubber mattress to absorb the impact when the cows get up or lie down. The rubber mattress provides anti-slip properties, wear resistance, and surface support, while the foam provides shock absorption and pressure distribution—the two layers work together to adjust the floor hardness of the resting area to a range suitable for cows to lie in for extended periods.

Q1. Will shifting the fabric layer downwards affect the overall tensile strength of the mattress?
No. The function of the fabric layer is to inhibit rubber deformation and improve tear resistance. Shifting it downwards thickens the upper rubber layer and thins the lower rubber layer, while maintaining the same tensile and tear resistance, and extending the abrasion resistance of the upper layer. It will not affect the overall tensile strength of the mattress.
Q2. Will installing a mattress affect drainage in the sleeping area?
While the mattress itself has a non-slip surface and some drainage capacity, drainage in the sleeping area primarily depends on the floor slope and the sloping design of the foam. The rubber pad placed on top of the foam will not obstruct the path of liquid seepage and drainage.
Q3.What size cattle herd can the Dongxing double-sided textured rubber cow mattress support?
The mattresses are available in three strength grades: 10MPa, 15MPa, and 20MPa. For regular pastures, 10-15MPa is sufficient. For high-density, heavy-duty cattle herds or areas with frequent use, we recommend the 15-20MPa grade. The thickness ranges from 4-12mm, allowing for flexible matching based on the weight of the cattle and the frequency of use.
